Jurisdiction in Admiralty in rem action is primarily based on the presence of the res within jurisdiction. A minute’s delay may mean disappearance of the res from jurisdiction. Our Maritime Practice Group acts within short notice. We arrest vessels, cargo and freight to obtain security. Conversely, we timeously secure release of arrested vessels, cargo and freight.
