Miss Hauwa E. Momodu graduated from the University of Benin, Nigeria with an Honors degree in Law in 1999. She qualified as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 2002 and was subsequently called to the Bar of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the same year. She started her legal career with the Civil and Commercial Department of the Ministry of Justice of Jigawa State of Nigeria. She joined McCarthy Mbadugha & Co. in 2004.

She practices Arbitration and ADRs, Intellectual Property, Maritime Law, Oil & Gas, particularly litigation. She handles all types of Trade Mark issues, Bill of Lading, International Trade, Marine Insurance, Oil Pollution, including Onshore and Offshore Oil Industry casualties.

Hauwa is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and the Negotiation and Conflict Management Group (ADRs).
